The Back Country Land Trust takes great pride in being an effective community partner. We work most effectively when we establish mutually beneficial relationships with landowners, agencies, donors, students, businesses, and the communities we serve.

Community members who participate in our work have given of themselves in various ways. From leading hikes and mountain bike rides to donating professional services to further our conservation work, BCLT has been the recipient of extraordinary generosity. Local student Steven Colburn donated his bar mitzvah money to purchase "I Love Wright's Field" buttons and hand out to supporters of Wright's Field. Plein Aire artist Jerome Lipetzky donated proceeds from the sale of his Wright's Field paintings to the land trust to help us complete the Wright's Field Preserve. One easy way to help support the preservation of San Diego's rural heritage is to wear a BCLT hat or shirt or to carry a BCLT mug or water bottle.
