Conservation in the Campo Valley
While BCLT continues to work on land preservation in the Alpine area, new funding is focusing BCLT efforts to the East. We’re pleased to announce being awarded $30,000 from The San Diego Foundation Environmental Work Group. The grant was made possible through the Environment Grant Program of The San Diego Foundation and will be used towards “Conservation in the Campo Valley”. The Colonel Frank C. Wood Memorial Fund and the Land & Watershed Conservation Fund both provided funding.
In addition, BCLT has made the final list of 25 for Proposition 50 funds. BCLT competed against many other organizations so this is very good news. BCLT has requested $650,000 for “Conservation in the Campo Valley”, which will be used for watershed land protection.
BCLT Board member Dave Stout is coordinating this project as Director of Land Acquisition.
